Network

Sustainable development is a development, assuring the quality of life for the contemporary generation and equally maintaining the options for choosing the conditions of their living.

Brundtland-Report, 1987

Understood as whole-societal task, this is only to be resolved in common. The cooperation in developing tasks is therefore of central importance for the UCCU and consequently also the support and the strengthening of the cooperation with countries and institutions from the global South. Recent experiences with universities from Latin America, from the near East, from East Asia and Subsahara-Africa as well as with global institutions focussing on cooperation for development, will be the starting point for future intentions of the institute.

Global Network

Beside this global scale, our network is completed by additional levels, offering a ‚double ground‘.

National Network

Substantial cooperation with national partners strengthen the field of competence „Urban Design, Building Culture, Urban Monument Preservation“ of the UCCU.

UNESCO Chair Network

By interdisciplinary exchange through participating in the UNESCO Chair Network, UCCU contributes to a unified understanding and a bundled ability for becoming active for the benefit of sustainable futures.

UCCU Team Competences

Each individual member of the cross-disciplinarily researching team at UCCU extends daily the field of competences in exchange with institutes, students, urban actors, municipalities etc.
